The Redskins remained optimistic about the recovery of offensive lineman Kili Lefotu today, although doctors still have not determined what caused him to be in an unconscious state at the team hotel Wednesday and unable to practice. Lefotu's conditions may have been life-threatening at one time, but he was in stable condition by Wednesday evening and was still doing well today, team officials said.
Lefotu was able to talk and function normally, although any timetable for his return to practice is unclear at this time. Initial blood tests came back with any results to suggest a cause for his problem. Lefotu was a seventh-round pick out of Arizona in April's draft. Bubba Tyer, director of sports medicine, is supposed to give us an update this afternoon, maybe before practice. If anything changes, by golly, you'll see it here first.
