Friday Photo: What a Face!
In the genre of man-imitating-art-photo that everyone has taken at some point (left knee up, right fist under chin next to Rodin's Thinker; one hand at side, one at shoulder for a (clothed) tribute to Michaelangelo's David), Ruth Sievers's photo of her husband, this week's Friday Photo, goes beyond mere mimicry and seems to tell a story of its own.

Sievers writes:
"My husband, Steve Hanft, and I went out to California in February to visit our son, who is a sophomore at Pomona College. On a visit to the Getty Villa in Malibu, my husband - who can rarely act natural in front of the camera - posed with one the many fabulous antiquities."
My question is: Was he simply reliving his first glimpse of his son's messy dorm room?
Now it's your turn. Some guidelines:
1. Email ONE photo per week to us travel@washpost.com. Put "Friday Photo" in the subject field, and include your name, address and phone number.
2. Write a paragraph like the one above explaining what's going on in the picture, when you took it and why it's significant to you.
3. Photos should be from a recent trip, voyage, getaway . . whatever you want to call it. But try to keep it within the last month or two or three.
4. Winners will receive a Travel totebag; allow four to six weeks for delivery. Winning entries are subject to editing. Employees of The Post and their immediate families are not eligible. No purchase necessary.
