The Friday Photo: Irish Ayes

Now that we've survived the heat from earlier this week here in D.C., it's time to kick back and get ready for the weekend.

And what better way than to take a gander at this week's Friday Photo?

This week's comes from David French of Alexandria, who returned from Prague with a touch of the Irish. Take it away, David:

"I took this photo of the Irish Guards Band on parade from the tower of the Old Town Hall (radnice) overlooking this square in downtown Prague. I have traveled around Ireland on numerous occasions, but did not expect to see any Irish on my first trip to the Czech Republic."

Now it's your turn. Some guidelines:

1. Email ONE photo per week to us travel@washpost.com. Put "Friday Photo" in the subject field, and include your name, address and phone number.

2. Write a paragraph like the one above explaining what's going on in the picture, when you took it and why it's significant to you.

3. Photos should be from a recent trip, voyage, getaway . . whatever you want to call it. But try to keep it within the last month or two or three.

4. Winners will receive a Travel totebag; allow four to six weeks for delivery. Winning entries are subject to editing. Employees of The Post and their immediate families are not eligible. No purchase necessary.
