Three Vigils Planned in N. Virginia Tonight

At least three vigils for victims of the Virginia Tech shootings are scheduled in the Northern Virginia region today.

7:30 p.m.: Virginia Tech in the National Capital Region holds a public candlelight vigil. Alexandria City Hall, 301 King St., Alexandria, Va.

7:30 p.m.: The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and Faith Communities in Action holds a gathering to allow the community to grieve and celebrate the lives of the victims. Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Pkwy., Fairfax, Va.

8 p.m.: The National Capital Region Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association honors the victims of the April 16 shootings. St. Francis Episcopal Church, 9920 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls, Va.
