Judy Feder has $700,000 in Campaign Cash

Democrat Judy Feder raised $310,000 during the first three months of the year, bringing her total haul for her campaign against Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va) to $900,000.
Feder, one of the best funded Democratic challengers in the country, will report today she has $700,000 in the bank.
People want change," said Feder, who lost to Wolf in 2006. "They voted for it last November. They turned out in record numbers for it in February. They are contributing to my campaign because they know that's what I stand for."
Wolf has not yet released his finance report for January through March. But Wolf had $550,000 in the bank as of Dec. 31. Feder, a professor at the Georgetown University and former Clinton administration official, has been raising a considerable amount of money from donors out of state. But Feder said today 450 Virginians contributed to her campaign during the first three months of this year.

You guys and Fisher just don't get it. Lefty candidates like Feder get crushed in Virginia. Just look at the results over the past two years. Keep nominated nutty leftys like Feder and keep getting crushed.
Moderation is were its at and Feder is so far left she is off the cliff. The dems really can do better than this Clinton croney who would be better off staying a liberal policy wonk.

lefty is where it's at, more votes for DC!

anon 5:15, you are exactly right. Come on, no one actually really thinks anyone like Feder who is part of the progressive far left wing can actually win.
Candidates like Feder frequently raise big bucks here in Va and get it handed to them in Nov. Why can't we run a moderate dem in this moderate district? Why run a far lefty better suited for DC?

Wolf's days are numbered. It's not if but when.

How much did her primary opponent, Mike Turner, pull in? And why does the Post continue to ignore him?

Frank Wolf's albatross is that he voted with President Bush 85% of the time, including voting against the recommendations of the very Iraq Study Group that he endorsed.
Both Retired Air Force Colonel Mike Turner and Professor Judy Feder will have enough funds to wage a formidable campaign vs. Frank Wolf in November -- so the questions facing Virginia Democrats in the 10th CD are: Based on experience, persona, track record, and leadership, which candidate has the best chance to unseat Wolf, and which candidate will be the most effective Congressman?
A great starting point is to go to Turner's website at www.MikeTurnerforCongress.com and Feder's website at www.judyfeder.com and compare the two candidates. Review their backgrounds. Look at their positions on the issues such as the Iraq war, the housing crisis, transportation, health care, and veterans' benefits. Watch their videos.
A second way of analyzing the candidates is to attend one of their debates in May. The debate details will be posted on the candidates' websites.
For the first time in 20 years, Democrats in VA-10 have a choice of Congressional candidates. By doing their homework, they will make the right decision.
