Gilmore Declines to Debate Marshall

Former governor James S. Gilmore III will not debate his rival for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate, Del. Robert G. Marshall (R-Prince William), next month in an event sponsored by three Young Republican clubs in Northern Virginia.
"We're past the point of debate,'' said Ana M. Gamonal, Gilmore's spokeswoman.
Gamonal said Gilmore's schedule is packed between now and next month's convention when delegates from across the state will choose a nominee.
But, she said, Gilmore and Marshall have already appeared together many times including the recent shad planking in Wakefield.
"Delegates already know where Gov. Gilmore stands on the issues,'' she said.
Gamanol said Gilmore's goal now is to get delegates to turn out and to find out where presumptive Democratic nominee former governor Mark R. Warner stands on the issues.

It's just shame. The YR leadership behind this is made up of young people, mostly in their 20s. There is an ideological war being waged for the hearts and minds of our peers, and so far the energetic Liberal/Democrat leadership is winning. But the saddest part is they only win when the conservatives choose not to compete.

So let's hear from the other three.

The real fiscal conservative in this U.S. Senate race the Gail "for Rail" Parker.
Gail, like Ron Paul, calls for a stop to the $1 Trillion waste of tax dollars every year on foreign military misadventure.
Gail calls for an auditable accounting system at the pentagon. We need to count the tax dollars. Stop the no bid uncontested contracts. Gail Parker is the common sense conservative, a winner for Virginia for U.S. Senate.

Didn't Gail Parker run as a Communist in the last election?

I'm sure that the four people who would have attended the debate will be very disappointed.
