Chindex Posts Fourth-Quarter Loss
Chindex of Bethesda said it swung to a fourth-quarter loss of $2.7 million (20 cents a share), compared with a profit of $665,000 (5 cents) in the comparable period a year earlier. Revenue increased 40 percent, to $34.6 million. It attributed the loss to "non-routine year-end adjustments" and an interest charge.
For the year ended March 31, the provider of health-care services in China said profit rose 34 percent, to $3.7 million (27 cents) from $2.7 million (24 cents) in the previous year. Revenue rose 23 percent, to $130.1 million.
