Travel Section Launches New Blog
Travel writers are a naturally restless bunch. Sitting behind a desk as a nine-to-fiver runs counter to their Marco Polo instincts of discovery. So it's no wonder that the Post's Travel staff jumped at the chance to explore new territory, this time globetrotting on the Web.
Travel Log, our newest blog, shoved off Wednesday, Jan. 17 and informs readers on everything from the latest industry news and breaking deals to stories from their trips to Parts Unknown, lending advice and tips along the way. The staff posts three to five times a day, Monday through Friday, so before booking that next vacation or business trip, visit Travel Log.
Happy trails,
Christian Pelusi

Great news. Come to Laos and see one of the last untouched countries in southeast Asia. Laos and its people are magical.
Better yet, let me write about the country for your blog. Laos is still coming out from under the dark shadow of America's "Secret War" during the Vietnam war. It's a fascinating story that changes every day.
Best of luck with the blog. Keep it coming!

When are you going to add all the new Blogs to the list on the front page of washingtonpost.com? The Soccer Insider (Steven Goff blog) has been up for a few weeks, yet it can't be accessed unless you go to the DC United section of washingtonpost.com!

Being a travel writer myself I am very interested in seeing what this blog will generate.
There are so many different perspectives on travel depending on your perception and attitude about culture and comfort.
Looking forward to seeing more travel columns.
