Maradona the Pundit

Diego Maradona, soccer superstar-turned-drug-addict-turned-TV-talkshow host, lead a massive demonstration against President Bush in Argentina last weekend as the hemisphere's leaders gathered for a summit

The international media described his first foray in geopolitics in many ways.  Take your pick from the following:

.... "Discusses football, music, film, football, family, celebrity and football."(Melbourne Herald Sun).

..."spews verbal bilge"(Times of London).

... has "a remarkable tale of personal redemption" (The Observer).

..."has a good foot for kicking but doesn't have a good head for talking." (Mexican President Vicente Fox as quoted in Chile's La Tercera).

..."if George W. Bush wished to seek advice from anyone on the art of reputation restoration he could do worse" (Daily Telegraph).
